Hurricane Season Opens June 1.

Preparation begins today.

As county judge she will be the county's director of emergency management, leading the Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Management. She has said she wants Harris County ready for storms on the scale of Hurricane Beryl and the derecho, and has warned that insurers are pulling back and federal help can't be taken for granted.

  • Spend on the worst flooding first.

  • Put resilience hubs where neighborhoods flood.

  • Keep the power on at the places people go in an emergency.

  • Get every block involved, one storm drain at a time.

Join the work.
